Destiny City Comics & Arts Festival 2019 at Alma Mater

Come meet local artists who make comics! Destiny City Comics is working with Alma Mater Tacoma to host independent writers and artists who can’t wait to sell you their latest comic, zine, or other concoction. The festival includes OVER 30 regional and independent artists, writers and illustrators from across the Pacific Northwest.

ROBERTA GREGORY: comic book writer and artist known for her character, Bitchy Bitch from Fantagraphics’ “Naughty Bits.” Check out her work on RobertaGregory.com

Destiny City Comics is springing for a free pizza buffet on April 20, inviting local artists to exhibit, and taking donations to the Write253 which enters you for a chance to win comics and prizes from other local businesses at $1 per ticket.

Waste Warriors; an Alleycat!

Take part in a cool event hosted by Second Cycle, a community bike shop up in the Hilltop neighborhood. You could win a Destiny City Comics gift card. Destiny City Comics will also be an optional stop on the ride.

“WARRIORS, COME OUT AND PLAY!

Ride your bike, and clean up the streets of Tacoma at the same time! We will be awarding prizes based on quantity and quality of trash collected. Quickest ride will get a prize, too.

This alleycat includes a waste themed manifest. At least one stop will have a timed trash pick-up thanks to the City of Tacoma Government.

All riders welcome! Ride at your own pace. This event is all about having fun and cleaning up our community.

Guaranteed to be Tacoma’s trashiest bike ride!
