Snow, Glass, Apples book discussion

Snow, Glass, Apples book discussion

Neil Gaiman’s chilling retelling of the Snow White fairytale, Snow, Glass, Apples has been gloriously adapted by Colleen Doran, who previously adapted Gaiman’s award-winning short story Troll Bridge.

Terrified of her monstrous stepdaughter and determined to repel the creature and save her kingdom, a not-so-evil queen desperately tries to stop a “happily” ever after that was never supposed to be. Stopping ever after, however, is no small task…

From the Hugo, Bram Stoker, Locus, World Fantasy, Nebula award–winning, and #1 New York Times bestselling writer Neil Gaiman (American Gods, Neverwhere, Coraline, The Graveyard Book, and many others) comes this graphic novel adaptation by Colleen Doran (Sandman, Troll Bridge)! Snow, Glass, Apples comes to you in a beautiful hardcover format and is an essential addition to the Dark Horse’s Neil Gaiman library program.

We’ll be meeting at Destiny City Comics at 218 Saint Helens Ave. Stadium District’s comic shop also sells many other fine graphic novels.

Godshaper book discussion

Note: this event has been postponed one week from the original scheduled date.
Eisner Award-nominated writer Simon Spurrier (The Spire, X-Men Legacy) and breakout talent Jonas Goonface introduce a vast world teeming with bold ideas exploring ownership, freedom, and the pettiness of possession-both physical and spiritual. Ennay is a Godshaper-godless social pariahs with the ability to mold and shape the gods of others. Paired with Bud, an off-kilter but affectionate god without a human, the two travel from town to town looking for shelter, a hot meal, and the next paying rock’n’roll gig. Collects the complete 6-issue limited series.
