Sunglasses After Dark signing with Stan Shaw at Magoo’s

Come meet the artist at Magoo’s Annex in North Tacoma. We had so much fun at the event at Destiny City Comics we decided to do it again… at a BAR!

This graphic novel was originally published in serialized comic form in 1989 by heavy metal legend Glenn Danzig’s underground comic book company, Verotik. Now it’s available for the first time in a complete edition with a new introduction and updated artwork by the original authors.

From IDW: “The story begins in a madhouse and goes on to reveal the mystery behind the disappearance of a nightclubbing heiress and her transformation into a tough-as-nails punk vampire/vampire-slayer. Sonja Blue is a “living” vampire who still possesses a soul, and is determined to fight for what remains of her humanity, while still seeking bloody revenge against the vampire who attacked her. But as dangerous as hunting down vampires may be, it is nothing compared to her greatest foe: The Other–the demonic alter ego with which she is locked in constant battle for the body they both share.”

Advance copies of the book will be available at the event before its May 20 ship date. Get your hands on it before it hits stands almost anywhere else!

Advance Praise for Black River:

“Josh Simmons has concocted a hellish world in which madwomen roam a post-apocalyptic landscape – but its battlescars are nothing compared to the self-obliterating hell of their own minds. A horrifying, unforgettable vision.” — Kier-La Janisse (House of Psychotic Women)
